It really is complicated and I have too much to say on this topic 😅 Having used Aero for almost two years and attempting to fully deploy it during my art residency back at the end of 2023, appless clips was already integrated but as you mentioned, very spotty to say the least on either platform. I still have the Pixel 7 from that time and I do think the lack of support really didn't help matters. I've since pivoted to the new image targets in Niantic Studio and although you'll still see the 8th Wall intro, it does work quite well via WebXR. I'm going to put it through the paces very soon and may need to go my own video on that process too! Great video!

Yes! I totally hear you on those points. Aero (like much of AR) is super buggy. In this case, I think the lack of Android support may be coming from the Google side. I learned from some folks with a bit of inside knowledge that instant apps (as a whole) may be internal depreciated. WebXR is way better imo, anyway!

I love Aero so much but this is why I’ve had to abandon it for clients for now, it’s just too unpredictable :-( Aero has everything I need in AR software and I really, really hope they don’t abandon it and we get a long awaited update soon. Can’t wait to see your recommedations for alternatives!

Oh yeah, I super relate to this. I only use Aero for specific (really simple) projects. Unfortunately, I think it’s lost priority in the Adobe ecosystem, so I don’t know if it’s going to improve any time soon.
