Seed & Circuit
Why I’m Starting This Substack
A seed is nature’s first signal—a pulse of what could be. A circuit is the system that sustains it, translating spark into flow.
This Substack is both a seed and a circuit. I know I’m creating something sustainable but, I’m not entirely sure what. Truth be told, I’m often unsure of what I’m making. I don’t know until I reach a specific point in the process, when something solidifies in my brain and I can just see it, THE THING I’m making.
It’s a truly beautiful moment.
Certainty tastes so sweet.
But, before I reach that sweet spot, there is a ton of “not knowing”, throwing shit at the wall, and seeing what sticks. Plus, a lot of: “Wait… what am I doing?”
We are at that point in the ride, my friends: “I don’t know” land. Although I don’t know its final form, I do know that I’m excited to have a place to try things out, gather my thoughts, share work, and most importantly process. I hope to carve out a cool little corner of the internet where immersive art, nature, science, and curiosity can sit at the same table. Possibly, with snacks.
So, what is this space?
I’m an immersive artist who works at the intersection of art, storytelling, animation, and extended reality (XR). I build interactive experiences—some digital, some physical, some both. My medium changes based on the story I’m trying to tell: it stretches between XR installations, games, animations, illustrations, songs, and audio-reactive AR gardens. (Yes, really.)
What you can expect
Real talk: like I mentioned above, I’m not 100% sure what this will be. But, here are some things I plan to do. Let’s see how things go. :)
Behind-the-scenes (art & tech) process posts
Sketches, prototypes, creative process walkthroughs, and unfiltered thoughts from the middle of the mess
Deep dives into immersive art (digital & physical)
Thoughts on XR as a medium, the tools I use (Lens Studio, Unity, etc.), and how to tell stories across realities
Nature + science + wonder
Explorations of natural systems, biomimicry, and moments that make you go “whoa”
Creative philosophy
What it means to live an art-focused life when everything around you wants your attention, your data, or both
Why Substack?
Because social media is exhausting.
Because I want to build something slow and intentional.
Because shouting into the algorithm void doesn’t leave much space for nuance or curiosity.
Because it seems nice over here.
Btw, I’ll still be making video tutorials on YouTube, but this is where I want to gather my thoughts. It's a sketchbook, a journal, a letter from the field. A little less filtered. A little more human.
If you’re here, thank you.
Whether you’re an artist, a technologist, a curious wanderer, or someone who accidentally subscribed thinking this was a mushroom foraging blog—welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
Let’s get real. Let’s get weird. Let’s get real weird.

I'm so happy to be getting weird with y'all! 🍄
